ERGObaby has definitively phased out the original infant insert for their baby carriers.  The new Heart2Heart Infant Insert is the new version that they are moving forward with.

The Heart 2 Heart Infant Insert for the ERGOBaby carrier is what new and expecting parents need to be able to carry a newborn baby.  The ERGO Baby has offered infant insert since 2004 and after much research and customer feedback, has recently updated it to the Heart 2 Heart design.  This new version of the infant insert carries the baby in the tummy-to-tummy position, hence the name heart2heart. The goal is to promote healthy maturation of the spine by supporting the pelvis, hip joint, and leg position rather than putting a baby in a compromising sitting or hanging position before the spine is ready.  The Heart2Heart Insert has extra cushions at the back and bottom to support the natural curvature of a baby’s developing spine. The ERGObaby Infant Insert heart2heart also supports the safety of the baby’s head and neck in this critical stage of development. Thanks to the ERGObaby Infant Insert heart2heart and Carrier in combination, parents can carry their newborn close to their heart so they can remain attentive to their baby’s needs and at the same time continue daily activities.   This new version also allows a much more versatility for you to get the best setup for the comfort of you and your baby.  The ERGObaby Carrier with Infant Insert heart2heart truly is the only carrier you will need from newborn to toddler.

The Ergo Baby Carrier company has just announced that they will soon have some new colors!  It has been almost a year since the last color additions and over the past 6 months the color selections have actually decreased.  I was glad to learn that this is becuase they have new colors coming soon.

The new colors all look great but I think the standouts will be the Sienna Sunset because of the unique embroidery.  Not so sure about the Navy.  It’s a pretty safe bet for dad’s but I still prefer the Black with Camel lining.  Ergo did a great job with the Galaxy Grey by making neutral color really unique with the star embroidery.  For gift buying I’m backing Sea Green.  It’s totally gender neutral, both for parent and child, and you get the organic cotton.

These should all be shipping very soon!  I’m hoping for arrival the last week of September.

Update: These colors are all available and should be around for awhile.  Green with Silver lining has been the most popular of these with the Galaxy Grey a close second.  The Sienna looks great but you’ll pay a bit more for it because of the organic fabric and detailed stitching.  Midnight has been a popular choice with dads and parents that want a dark color other than black.

The Ergo Baby Carrier in Blue with Green lining is available for a limited time while supplies last.  The folks at Ergo said there were no more of this color so it’s a surprise to have them again.  Get it while you can, there aren’t many of these left!

Update: Alas, this carrier has sold out from everywhere that we have looked for it new.  Check back with us for new color updates or try ebay or your Craig’s List for used ones.

The new Heart Rose print ergo baby carrier by Ergobaby is now available at Little Mountain both in store and online!  We know a lot of Ergo Baby Carrier fans have been asking for a pink carrier from Ergobaby and The Heart Rose print is the first.  The print may be a little over the top for some of you (I don’t expect to see many dads wearing it around) but for others we know you’ll be excited to have a pink carrier for wearing around.  Click on the image below to purchase or learn more about this exciting new baby carrier.

The newest soft baby carrier from Ergobaby is in stock at Little Mountain Outfitters.  We’re really excited about the Sport Black Ergo Baby Carrier because it’s made from a blend of cotton and polyester to improve moisture wicking from you and your child to keep both more comfortable.  I know it may not seem like a big deal since this style is first becoming available in January when most of us are trying to keep warm.  When the warm months roll around and you are on a hike with your child pressed up against you you’ll be glad of your pick.  I also am excited about the style of this carrier.  I think the contrast black stiching looks great.  For more details or to purchase the Ergobaby Ergo Sport Carrier you click on the image below.

ErgoBaby has recently announced anticipated availability dates for the new Ergo Carriers.  The Ergosport Carrier which will be availabe only in black and have a lower retail price is expected to be in stores within the next week(weather allowing).  The updated Organic Ergo Baby Carrier in Dark Chocolate with Kona Coffee liner won’t be in stores till the second week of January.  The popular Chocolate with Caramel lining will hopefully be available after the 1st of the new year.

There is a new Ergo Baby Carrier in organic cotton on it’s way!

The latest color addition to the Ergo Baby Baby Carrier line is Blue with Embroidery and Applique.  We are really excited to have a blue carrier back in stock.  We think the Ergo has done a great job with the detail of the embroidery.  Blue has always been a popular color for mom’s and dad’s.  With the addition of the emboidery and applique to the carrier it may lose the appeal for some dad’s out there.  If dad’s not going to wear it that much no big deal.
